The Welsh Wound Innovation Centre (WWIC) has recently opened the UK’s first support surface testing facility in South Wales, and will, in future, align this laboratory with the new international standard for pressure care mattress and cushion testing – ISO 20342.

Trudie Young, WWIC's Director of Education & Training, has commenced a new role with Velindre NHS Trust. Trudie is undertaking a clinical role one day a week, supporting the Trust as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Tissue Viability.
We congratulate Trudie in this new role, which she will undertake alongside her commitments with WWIC.
