The Welsh Wound Innovation Centre (WWIC) is the first national wound healing centre world-wide and is the flagship facility for clinical innovation in Wales.  WWIC has a vital role in Wales’s economic development, helping to accelerate growth by stimulating and supporting business-led innovation in wound care.

The WWIC vision is to transform the management and delivery of better wound health care (prevention and treatment) via a coordinated, facilitated network approach to meet the needs of our stakeholders and customers.

The Welsh Wound Innovation Initiative was established to tackle the challenges associated with acute, traumatic and chronic, non-healing wounds and their treatment and prevention, in addition to other health issues.
